1. Who is Upward Basketball for?
All children in grades Kindergarten to Sixth grade.

2. How much does Upward Basketball Cost?
The cost for Upward Basketball is $50 if paid before November 30th; $60 for late registrants.

4. When and how many practices will there be?
All teams will practice only one night per week for one hour. Practice will be on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday depending upon which team your child is on. If you have multiple children we will try to work it out that their teams practice on the same night but this is not guaranteed.

5. When and how many games will there be?
There will be 8 games; one game per week for eight weeks. Please allow one hour for each game. Games will be held on Saturday’s beginning January 31, 2009. It is possible some teams will need to play on Friday evening instead but we will attempt to keep all games on Saturdays.

6. Can I as a parent coach a team?
Yes. We have spots available for coaches and assistant coaches. If you are interested in helping in this way you will be required to attend a training class AND pass a background check. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO WORK WITH CHILDREN WITHOUT PASSING A BACKGROUND CHECK! This check will be done at the expense of Westview Baptist Church. 7. I don’t want to be a coach or assistant coach, what else can I do? There are many things you can do: Referee, concessions, help clean up, lead devotions, provide drinks and snacks for the team, etc. Keep in mind – ALL POSITIONS IN WHICH YOU WORK IN CLOSE PROXIMITY WITH CHILDREN YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK.
